It's good to be back home. It's like learning the 'Glades all over again after Irma. Sandbars and mudbars have moved. Massive amount of debris in the water. Everything from trees and branches to storage buildings and refrigerators. Oh well, at least the oyster bars don't move. and fishing is the best it's been in 20 years !
A big thanks to my fishing buddy, Bob , for poling me on this nice snook while we were scouting.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of guiding Kasey Nelson on his first Tarpon trip.
The picture says it all ! It doesn't get much better than this. His first cast to his first Tarpon, perfect execution and he was hooked up to a 150 # "BIG GIRL".
It was great to see his face as she danced on the water after the hook up.
His comment to me was " I couldn't believe I was hooked to that frieght train ".
Unfortunately she broke of after 40 minutes, but I think Kasey now has the fever that inflicts so many fly fisherman this time of year, "Tarpon Fever".
